King to hold outreach hours
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A staff member of U.S. Sen. Angus S. King, Jr. (I-ME) will hold outreach hours for Limestone area constituents this week.
Part of Senator King’s new “Your Government, Your Neighborhood” initiative, office outreach hours are an opportunity for area residents to meet directly with a staff representative to discuss specific problems, legislative issues, or any concerns regarding federal government agencies. No appointment is necessary.
Staff members will be at the Limestone Town Office at 93 Main Street on Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Variety Show takes place on June 30
STOCKHOLM — The Stockholm American Legion and Auxiliary is putting on its fifth annual Variety Show on Sunday, June 30, and they’re looking for talented individual (and even wanna-be’s) to participate. This year’s theme is fashion show/musical from the early 1900’s to the present, and organizers are encouraging the public to participate in the fun project. They’re looking for singers, musicians, people with period-styled clothing to lend, folks to help out with the backdrop and scenery and other theatrical facets. Tickets will be on sale soon for $8. Golf scramble to benefit Toys for Tots
LIMESTONE — A four-person golf scramble at the Limestone Country Club will benefit the Northern Aroostook County Toys for Tots program on Saturday, June 29 with sign in held from 7 to 7:30 a.m.; the cost is $35 per person or $120 per team.
