Police officer Stephen Nason, Leonard Keyes, 45, of Smyrna was traveling north on Court Street in a Ford F-250 pickup when a Pontiac Grand Am operated by Melissa Beaulieu, 27, of Houlton crossed his path. Beaulieu was traveling south on Court Street and was attempting to turn left onto Watson Avenue, Nason said. Beaulieu’s vehicle was destroyed in the crash, but she was not injured. Keyes and his passenger Gary Keyes were both taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by ambulance. Nason did not know the nature of their injuries. Charges may be pending, Nason added.
