Rairdon earns honors

    She’s done it again. Bonnie Rairdon of Island Falls has another accolade to add to her other musical honors. Recently, Rairdon was honored with Album of the Year from the Pine Tree State Country Music Association.

    Rairdon’s tribute album was recognized for this prestigious award on May 19 at the annual award show in Mechanic Falls.

    Other awards for Rairdon include: 2009 induction into the Maine Ole Opry; 2010 Album of the Year  “You and Me” recorded with MacElwain at Gary Morris Studio; 2011 Gospel Artist of the Year, Bluegrass Artist of the Year, Entertainer Award, Album of the Year “My Mother’s Bible” recorded with MacElwain; 2012 Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame.
    Rairdon is an international multi-award winning veteran performer/songwriter. She has performed from New Brunswick to Texas and even overseas. She blends country/gospel and bluegrass music.
