Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum will be speaking at First Baptist Church, 46 Court Street on Monday, June 24, starting at 6:30 p.m. Fruchtenbaum is the Director of Ariel Ministries, a Messianic Jewish organization composed of Jews and Gentiles who believe in the Messiahship of Jesus. Fruchtenbaum is a leading scholar in the study of the scriptures from a Jewish perspective and brings a systematic approach to many themes dealing with the nation and people of Israel and the Church.
He is a prolific writer, having authored eight books, nearly 200 manuscripts and articles for contribution in a number of books and periodicals. Fruchtenbaum was born in Siberia, Russia, after his parents were released from a Communist prison. He received Orthodox Jewish training while a young boy and came to New York with his family in 1951.
He received his BA degree in Greek and Hebrew at Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio, and his TH.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary. He received his Ph.D. from New York University. He studied Hebrew, archaeology and ancient history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
It was during this time that the now historic Six-Day War broke out between Israel and the Arab nations.
Because of his first-hand observations of this critical period in Israel’s history, and his study of the role of the nation of Israel in God’s plan of world redemption, he is often asked to speak in Bible conferences all over the United States and other parts of the world.
Fruchtenbaum will be speaking on the topic, “The Church and the Jews,” and if time permits, “The Jewish Wedding System and the Bride of Messiah.”
