HOULTON – Joanne Frances Cunliffe, 59, died June 13, 2013, at a local health care facility. She was born April 29, 1954, at Houlton the daughter of Raymond and Frances (Plourde) Cunliffe.
Joanne attended Houlton schools and was a 1972 graduate of Houlton High School and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. Joanne worked for and was great friends with Gene Bartley of Steelstone Industries for 33 years. She enjoyed going to camp and fishing with family and friends. Substitute bowling, family barbeques, playing cards at her parents’ house and being a special aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews were some of Joanne’s greatest loves.
She is survived by her mother, Fran; her brother, Matthew Cunliffe; seven sisters, Debbie Douglass and her husband, Paul, Brenda Duff and her husband, Joseph, Dianne Lincoln and her husband, Roger “Bud”, Cindy Veysey and her husband, Laurel, Sandra Duffy and her husband, Lawrence, Kathy Joseph and her husband, John, Crystal Gallop and her husband, Shane; special brother, Mike Prosser; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Ray “Razor”, her sister, Linda Prosser and a nephew, Mark Bruso.
Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
