    PRESQUE ISLE – The Presque Isle High School spring athletic awards night was held June 3, with members of the JV and varsity softball teams, JV and varsity baseball teams, varsity tennis teams and varsity track and field teams recognized for their participation during the recently-completed sports season.

    The outstanding senior athlete awards are voted by the senior class and were presented at the June 6 Class Day. This year’s recipients are Chandler Guerrette and Jonah Stephenson.
    Guerrette competed in soccer and basketball for four years and softball for one, while Stephenson was involved in soccer, basketball and baseball all four years.
    At the awards night, JV softball coach Mike Patenaude and assistant coach Katie Patenaude presented certificates to freshmen Hailey Cameron, Olivia Hudson, Shelby Shaw and Alyssa Trombley; sophomores Erin Ackerson, Chelsy Argraves, Macy Desmond, Jaylee Farley, Kelsey Gilson, Tori Harvath, Megan McKnight, Amanda Palmer and managers Vanessa Michaud and Rachel Patenaude; and juniors Molly O’Connell and Hanna Postell.
    JV baseball coach Brad Boyles and assistant coach Brent Boyles presented certificates to freshmen Sam Gray, Michael Mahon, Reece McDougall, Kyle Rider and managers Lauren Graves and Kellsey Michaud; sophomores Joshua Boucher, Bradley Guerrette, Cody McGlinn, Kyle Nadeau and Cristian Nunez; and juniors Nick Crouse and Conor Seward.
    Girls varsity tennis coach Monica Bearden handed out first-year letters to freshmen Michelle Cawley and Sedona Lucas, sophomore Frances Mendieta-Castro and juniors Blair Bailey and Lora Ireland; second-year letters to sophomore Hilary Boucher and junior Sara Gilson; and a third-year letter to senior Kayla Girardin.
    Boys varsity tennis coach Sam Picard gave certificates to freshman Tyler Ayotte and sophomore Clint Adler; first-year letters to freshman Byron Winslow, sophomores Chase Norton and manager Madalyn Carson and junior Zachary Breton; second-year letters to sophomore Chris Carroll and junior Michael Michaud; and a third-year letter to junior Liam Hughes.
    Varsity softball coach Terry Cummings and his assistant, Daren Hunter, presented a certificate to freshman manager Alison Bell. First-year letters went to freshmen Hailey Cameron, Jillian Flynn and Olivia Hudson; sophomores Erin Ackerson, Macy Desmond and Kalie Ward; junior manager Mikayla Albert; and senior Madison Michaud. Second-year letters were presented to sophomores Kelsey Gilson, Jordi Legassie and Megan Seward; third-year letters to junior Carly Bell and Shea Brown and seniors Laurin Ackerson and Liza Buck; and a fourth-year letter to senior Karlee Bernier.
    Girls varsity track and field coach Ron McAtee and his assistant, Mike Waugh, presented certificates to freshmen Jessie Brown, Rachel Maxwell, Leslie Mejia, Mateah Michaud and Madison Postell; sophomores Hillary Hartsgrove, Madison Shaw and Brynn Staples; and junior Shannon Sweeney. Garnering first-year letters were freshmen Emily Colligan, Abbie Estey, Mandy Graham, Karen Jones, Kerrigan LeBlanc, Regan Nelson and Alyssa Sweeney; sophomore manager Emma Langille and senior Emma Michalowski. Second-year letter winners were sophomores Jessica Baldwin and Cameo Madore. Third-year letters went to juniors Bonnie Corey, Kaleigh Kinney and Jacqueline Lambert; while seniors Amanda Bennett, Samantha Simonds and Kali Warner earned fourth-year letters.
    Boys varsity track and field coach Lori Googins and her assistant, Joe Greaves, honored the following certificate recipients: freshmen Andrew Lessard, Taylor Michaud, Zach Rice and Cole Staples; sophomores Brian Fournier, John Freeman, Brenden Goulet, Mitchell Kelley, Isaac Michaud, Taylor Miller and Noah Rossignol; and juniors Alex Hemphill, Joshua Jones, Garrett Kidney, Cyle McCleary, Ryder Soucy and Joel Tewksbury. Earning first-year letters were freshmen Parker Lambert and Connor Murchison, sophomore Kaleb Donovan, Juniors Kyle MacCallum and Matt Tilley and senior Cody Flannery. Second-year letters went to sophomores Austin Albert, James Churchill, Jeremy Gingrich and Keeghan Lowe; and juniors Dustin Drabek and Trevor Levesque. Juniors Mitchell Ayotte, Michael Donovan and Isaac Estey all earned third-year letters; while senior Gabe Player received a fourth-year letter.
    Varsity baseball coach Tim Olore and assistant coach James York gave out certificates to freshman Kyle Rider, sophomore Cristian Nunez and manager Aubrie Gross and junior Frank Nunez; first-year letters to sophomores Ben Buckley and Andrew Paterson and senior Scott Rhynold; second-year letters to juniors Josh Gordon, Karson Wilcox and managers Paige Gagnon and Katelyn Michaud; and seniors Corey Belanger and Kyle Goupille; and third-year letters to juniors Saul Nunez and Tyler Seeley and seniors Adam Flynn and Jonah Stephenson.
    Rhynold was selected the winner of the Aaron Archer Award in baseball.
    Sweatshirt recipients, who accumulated six varsity letters in any combination of sports, were Laurin Ackerson (in basketball and softball), Shea Brown (soccer, skiing and softball), Saul Nunez (cross country and baseball), Jacqueline Lambert (swimming and track and field), Kali Warner (soccer, basketball manager and track and field) and Trevor Levesque (cross country, hockey and track and field).
    Earning a jackets for lettering in one sport for four years were Kali Warner (track and field). Other fourth-year letter winners who received their jacket for participation in a previous sport were Karlee Bernier (softball), Amanda Bennett (track and field), Samantha Simonds (track and field) and Gabe Player (track and field).
    Receiving a 12-letter award for lettering in three varsity sports all four years was Karlee Bernier.
