Whitaker leads men’s hoop team to victory
CARIBOU — The Caribou Men’s Basketball League crowned its champion May 15, with Blvd. Graphix defeating the Road Runners, 72-54, in the title game.
Greg Whitaker powered the winners with 37 points, while teammate Alan Campbell tossed in 18.
Cameron York was the high scorers for the Road Runners with 28 points. Greg Palm and Paul West added 11 and 10, respectively.
The two teams also met May 13, with the Road Runners winning, 71-69, to force the “if necessary” game. In that game, York had 33 and West 19 to lead the Road Runners, while Whitaker had 33, Jordan Haines 12 and Luke Bartlett 11 for Blvd. Graphix.
