    CARIBOU – Shirley Griffeth, 78, passed away Sunday morning, June 2, 2013, at her residence in Caribou. She was born on January 26, 1935, in Perham, the daughter of William and Alice (Olsen) Sealander.
    Shirley is surivived by her children: Neal Griffeth and his wife, Christine of Caribou, Kim Sutherland and her husband, Stuart of Caribou, Rodney Griffeth of Saco, Craig Griffeth of Biddeford; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Austin and Bailey Griffeth, Matthew and Brandon Manter, and Ben Black; her siblings, Lealand and his wife, Joanne, Russel and his wife, Gloria, Wilford and his wife, Dolores, William and his wife, Laurie, all of California, and Geneva Dickenson of Florida.
    Shirley had many special friends including Marge Bell and Eileen Forbes who together shared a close friendship and fellowship at the Baptist Church, and formed a traveling trio. The three of them would drive to Florida after Christmas more than a dozen winters, spending eight to twelve weeks there, visiting friends and family along the way. Cousin Pat Laferriere also shared a very special bond with her. Shirley enjoyed afternoon bowling league and was a longstanding member of the Lioness Club and served as President in1984-85.
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Griffeth; and siblings, Melvin, Fred, Leona and Delaphine.
    Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 6, with Pastor Troy Heald officiating. Interment will be at New Sweden Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Caribou Recreation Department, 55 Bennett Drive, Caribou, ME 04736.
