GRAHAM, Heidi Amanda, 48, MAPLETON, at Presque Isle, May 22, 2013. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

      MAPLETON – Heidi Amanda Graham, 48, wife of Timothy Graham, passed away Wednesday evening, May 22, 2013, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born August 13, 1964, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Roger and Jean Pelkey.
    Heidi graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1982, Northern Maine Vocational Technical College (Now NMCC) in 1984 and worked at Advantage Payroll Service for 25 years before joining the team in the Financial Aid Office at Northern Maine Community College. Tim and Heidi were married on June 27, 1986, and together raised three children.
    Heidi was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and battled the disease for two years, never letting it define who she was, working every day, and fighting hard until the end. She will be remembered for her endless strength, her faith, her dedication to helping others and volunteering in the community, her love of the Boston Red Sox, her enjoyment of camping with her beloved family and friends, and all of the countless traditions where she surrounded herself with the ones she loved most.
    In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her three children: Jake, Dusty and Mandy; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Bruce Berube, sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Herman Legassie, sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Dennis Albert; mother-in-law, Pat Graham; sister-in-law, Tina Wilson; brother-in-law, Tom Graham; her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, co-workers and friends who all loved her dearly.
    Services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle on Saturday, May 25, with calling hours from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., where a funeral service followed at 1 p.m. A celebration of life reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall followed the burial at Fairmount Cemetery Saturday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Heidi’s memory to C-A-N-C-E-R, a local organization of Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer, Education, & Recovery.
