STEWART, Daniel B., 58, PRESQUE ISLE, May , 2013. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Southside Cemetery in West Chapman. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Daniel B. Stewart, 58, passed away on May 18, 2013, peacefully at his home, after a long courageous battle for the fight of his life. Dan was born in Houlton on March 25, 1955, the son of Charles and Pauline Stewart.
    Dan’s passion was his family – he loved spending time BBQing, making his “famous” spaghetti sauce and just hanging out. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He had a love for trains as he worked for the B&A railroad from 1974-2003 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Anah Temple Shrine where he was part of the Sau Nassau Unit and Indy Unit for a time. He was also a member of the P.I. Elks Lodge. He recently participated in the Relay for Life in 2011 and 2012 as he was fighting leukemia and then was taken with lung cancer.
    He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife of 37 years, Sandra (Smith) Stewart; mother, Pauline Stewart; beloved daughter, Jennifer Stewart Stevens and her husband, Darren and grandson, his “lil buddy”, Charles (C.J.) Stevens; son, Daniel C. Stewart and his wife, Mary, granddaughters, Mackenzie Stewart his “lil munchkin” and Sierra Ellis; daughter, Angela R. McCarthy, fiancé, Christopher Ayotte, grandsons, Connor Cain and his “lil one”, Leelynd Ayotte; sister, Donna Stewart Dean and her husband, Vernal and their children, Amanda, Allison and Amos. He will also be missed by his longtime and best friend, Gib Forbes of Georgia; his loving angel, Julie Bouchard; along with many brother- and sister- in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
    He was predeceased by his father, Charles E. Stewart.
    Friends and family may call from 1:30–3 p.m., at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, on Wednesday, May 22, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Interment will follow services at Southside Cemetery in West Chapman.
