The Oakfield Railroad Museum is now open for visitors each Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. through Labor Day. The Railroad Museum features more than 100 years of Bangor and Aroostook railroad history.
The museum is located on Station Street in Oakfield. Coming from Houlton, take I-95 south to exit 286; turn left onto Oakfield-Smyrna Street; continue to the former elementary school; turn left onto Main Street. On Main Street, cross the bridge and turn right, passing the fire station, onto Station Street and proceed to Oakfield Station at the end of the street.
