Easton students honored
for academic achievements
Principal Cameron Adams, of Easton Jr/Sr High School, Guidance Director Lynda Foren-Turner and Sarah King, administrative assistant, presented awards for academic excellence and perfect attendance to the following students during the Academic Awards Banquet held May 7.
The following students received:
• Certificates were presented to sophomores Caitlin Monroe and Hannah Ferris; and seniors Carl Mullen, Abagale Stewart and Justin Guerrette;
• Students who were eligible to receive a Letter were: freshmen Drew Sotomayor, Logan Halvorson, Emma Bonner and Blake Bradley; sophomores Connor Burtt, Cody Embelton and Keely Nichols; junior Ian Sotomayor; and seniors Tyler Gadaire, Crystal Keller and Acacia Kimball;
• Honor Pins were presented to: sophomores Kylee Carter, Taylor Brown, Nichole Dudley, Alexandra Allen, Kerrigan Arnett, Nicholas Clark, Kelsey Frank, Cody Halvorson, Ashley Hersey, Madison Leach, Abigail Thompson and Kristen West; junior Cameron Young; and senior Melissa Pelkey;
• Calculators were presented to: sophomores Kylee Carter, Taylor Brown, Nichole Dudley, Alexandra Allen, Kerrigan Arnett, Nicholas Clark, Kelsey Frank, Cody Halvorson, Ashley Hersey, Madison Leach, Abigail Thompson and Kristen West; junior Cassandra Buck; and senior Harvey Brown;
• Plaques were presented to: juniors Joshuah Salkind, Hunter Turner and Haley Ambrose; and seniors Lauren West and Mindy Desmond;
• $50 savings bonds were presented to: junior Haley Ambrose; and seniors Logan Sutherland, Kennedy Young and Jared Hafford;
• A $100 gift certificate was presented to senior Carla Halvorson;
• Perfect Attendance Pins were presented to: Grade 8 — Kathleen Haney and Sara Gilman; freshman Brandon Hosford; sophomores Madison Leach and Kristen West; and senior Melissa Pelkey;
• Cameron Adams presented the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Maine Award to junior Hunter Turner;
• Lynda Foren-Turner presented the President’s Award for Educational Achievement to seniors Justin Guerrette and Acacia Kimball; and
• The President’s Award for Educational Excellence was presented to seniors Harvey Brown, Mindy Desmond, Jared Hafford, Carla Halvorson, Melissa Pelkey, Logan Sutherland, Lauren West and Kennedy Young.
The following junior high students also received awards:
• Grade 8 — Hunter Brown, Elise Allen, Breann Clayton and Jacob Flewelling each received a $30 gift certificate; Abigail Currier, Hunter Brown, Elise Allen, Breann Clayton and Jacob Flewelling received an excellence pin; Sara Gilman and Abigail Currier received Honor Roll pins; Jordan Doody received a Letter; and Michael Brown, Miranda McLean and Kathleen Haney received a Certificate;
• Grade 7 — Paige Flewelling and Katelyn White received Honor Roll pins; Cecelia Ferris, Autumn Gray, Isabelle Morin, Delia Bonner, Paige Flewelling and Katelyn White received Letters; Delaney Leach and Keagan Kinney received a Certificate;
• Lynda Foren-Turner presented the President’s Award for Educational Achievement to: Grade 8 — Kathleen Haney and Carter Mazerolle; and
• Lynda Foren-Turner presented the President’s Award for Educational Excellence to: Grade 8 — Elise Allen, Hunter Brown, Breann Clayton, Abigail Currier, Jacob Flewelling and Sara Gilman.
