Flag adoption. Last year the town purchased 10 American flags from Walter of the World of Flags in Milo, Maine. Walter delivers flags around the county to town offices. He is “retired”. Ludlow began the adoption program last year and is continuing the process.
A board with plaques will be installed in the office and residents can purchase flags at $42 per set (flag, bracket and pole) to honor their loved ones and have a brass tag with the name of the loved one placed on the board in the office. The flags will line Ludlow Road as they did last year.
Other news: The Selectboard met and established a new entrance for meetings at the northeast door. Ludlow’s CEO reported on building permits and other enforcement issues that he is working on. The Planning Board has rearranged its members because of Lois Jeffery’s resignation. Ludlow thanks Lois for her years of volunteer work on the Planning Board.
There are now two openings on the Planning Board for associate members as Therese Lussier and Jackie Castaldo were voted in as full board members by the selectmen. Please contact the board or the town office if interested.
A rare cat has been rescued on the Ludlow Road. He is black with white shining through his coat. Anyone missing such a cat can contact the town office at 532-7743.
