Easton athletes presented awards
EASTON — Easton Junior-Senior High School held its annual athletic awards night April 23 in the Easton Elementary School gymnasium.
The evening began with everyone in attendance enjoying a brownie-a-la-mode. Varsity Club Advisor Leslie Carlow and Athletic Director Steve Shaw served as mistress/master of ceremonies for the event.
Coach Michelle Phillips presented certificates to the following junior high girls’ soccer players: Elise Allen, Sara Gilman, Abigail Currier, Breann Clayton, Delia Bonner, Cecelia Ferris, Isabelle Morin, Delaney Leach, Katelyn White, Paige Flewelling, Cecilia Morin, Lydia Ferris, Alexis Hayes and Ashley Cowley. Shelliese Mullen was presented with a certificate for managing the team.
Phillips presented certificates to the girls’ junior varsity basketball team. Those members include: Alexandra Allen, Nichole Dudley, Ashley Hersey, Madison Leach, Abigail Thompson, Emma Bonner and Blake Bradley.
Coach Robert Doar presented certificates to the following junior high girls’ basketball team: Elise Allen, Breann Clayton, Sara Gilman, Abigail Currier, Allisa Hatt, Paige Flewelling, Delia Bonner, Cecelia Ferris, Delaney Leach, Autumn Gray, Isabelle Morin and Emily Thompson. Shelliese Mullen and Olivia Lamoreau were presented with certificates for managing the team.
Coach Travis Carter presented certificates to the following junior high boys’ soccer players: Jacob Flewelling, Michael Brown, Hunter Brown, Jordan Doody, Matthew Poole, Collin Sotomayor, Ryan West, Christopher Busse, Wilder Mitchell, Isaac Currier and Logan Embelton.
Carter presented certificates to the following junior high boys’ basketball players: Jacob Flewelling, Hunter Brown, Michael Brown, Jordan Doody, Matthew Poole, Collin Sotomayor, Isaac Currier, Christopher Busse, Carson Flewelling and Keagan Kinney. Managers Breann Clayton and Shelliese Mullen were also presented with certificates.
Varsity cheerleading coach Leslie Carlow presented bars to the following cheerleaders: Lauren West and Katelyn Tompkins. Pins were presented to Kelsey Frank, Kristen West, Kerrigan Arnett, Acacia Kimball and Ian McLean. Haley Ambrose and Caitlin Monroe received letters.
Coach Rachel Tomlinson presented bars to the following varsity girls’ basketball players: Mindy Desmond and Carla Halvorson. Pins were presented to Kylee Carter and Hannah Ferris. Letters were given to Cassandra Buck, Taylor Brown and Alexandra Allen and certificates were presented to Stephanie Hammond, Nichole Dudley, Ashley Hersey, Madison Leach, Abigail Thompson, Emma Bonner and Blake Bradley.
Tomlinson presented the girls’ varsity soccer awards. Bars were presented to Mindy Desmond, Carla Halvorson, Kennedy Young, Cassandra Buck and Mariah Cyr. Kylee Carter and Kristen West received pins. Letters were presented to Alexandra Allen, Kerrigan Arnett, Hannah Ferris, Kelsey Frank, Caitlin Monroe, Emma Bonner and Taylor Brown. Certificates were presented to Stephanie Hammond, Nichole Dudley, Madison Leach, Elise Allen, Blake Bradley, Abigail Currier, Sara Gilman and Ashley Hersey. Abigail Thompson received a manager’s letter.
Tomlinson presented certificates to the following girls’ volleyball players: Carla Halvorson, Mindy Desmond, Cassandra Buck, Alexandra Allen, Madison Leach, Kylee Carter, Ashley Hersey, Nichole Dudley, Blake Bradley and Emma Bonner.
Coach Brent Mosher presented certificates to the following boys’ volleyball players: Jared Hafford, Harvey Brown, Carl Mullen, Tyler Gadaire, Logan Sutherland, Hunter Turner, Ian Sotomayor, Colby Pangburn, Connor Burtt, Nicholas Clark, Cody Halvorson, Drew Sotomayor, Logan Halvorson and Trevor Hathaway.
Coach Ryan Shaw presented awards to the varsity boys’ soccer team. Bars were presented to Ian Sotomayor, Hunter Turner and Jared Hafford. Tyler Gadaire, Logan Sutherland and Harvey Brown received a letter and a pin. Cody Halvorson, Nicholas Clark, Connor Burtt, Logan Dickinson and Colby Pangburn received pins. Letters were presented to Drew Sotomayor and Logan Halvorson. Certificates were presented to Trevor Hathaway and Riley Mazerolle. Manager Katelyn Tompkins received a letter and Abagale Stewart received a manager’s pin.
Coach Dillon Kingsbury presented the following boys’ varsity basketball awards: a bar was presented to Jared Hafford. Harvey Brown, Carl Mullen, Tyler Gadaire, Logan Sutherland received letters and pins. Hunter Turner received a pin and Cody Halvorson, Connor Burtt and Logan Halvorson all received letters. Certificates were presented to Ian Sotomayor, Nicholas Clark and Drew Sotomayor. Manager Keely Nichols was presented with a letter.
Coach Danny Warren presented certificates to the following junior varsity boys’ basketball players: Nicholas Clark, Drew Sotomayor, Logan Sutherland, Ian Sotomayor, Cameron Young, Trevor Hathaway and Colby Pangburn.
Steve Shaw recognized the following students for receiving special distinctions: Kylee Carter, All-Aroostook Soccer Team, All-East Soccer Team; Kennedy Young, All-Aroostook Soccer Team, All-East Soccer Team; Cody Halvorson, All-Aroostook Soccer Team; Jared Hafford, Aroostook League Scholar Athlete, All-Aroostook Basketball Team, Aroostook County All-Star Classic Team, WAGM-TV’s Athlete of the Week, Bangor Daily News All-Tournament Team Honorable Mention and 102 FM The Rock’s Star of the Game.
