Skip Botting, 69, of Houlton, died April 22 after a brief illness. He was the son of Norman and Ruby Botting Sr. of Ashland.
He is survived by his children, Pauline and Jeff Clewly, Fred and fiance, Janet Lawbert; two grandsons, Jordan Toner of Linneus and Jeremiah Botting of Houlton; he also has one very special great-granddaughter, Kaydence Wallace of Hodgdon; a sister, Pauletta and Harvey McLellan of Ashland; a brother, Paul and his fiance, Mary Mitchell of Houlton; two sisters-in-law, Grace Drost of W. Enfield and Linda Hills of Winterport; a brother-in-law, Paul Shorey and Mary of Patten; three adopted daughters, Angie, Leisa, and Helen; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorna “Jean” Shorey Botting; his father, Norman Botting, Sr., and his brother, Arthur Botting; also his father and mother-in-law, Frank and Pauline Chase Shorey.
Graveside services will be May 25 at 1 p.m. at Patten Cemetery with Keith Shorey officiating.
