CARIBOU — “You think it, we ink it.” That is the tagline of a new business that opened recently in Caribou, INKredible Tattoos.
Located at 21 Bennett Drive, owner Derrell Richardson opened INKredible’s doors on March 29 with Matt Skidgel of Caribou working as the tattoo artist.
Skidgel has eight years of tattooing experience, having operated his own shop in Presque Isle previously. While spending some time in North Carolina, Skidgel met Richardson, who worked as a network marketer. Richardson decided to join forces with Skidgel and his talent to open INKredible.
“Business has been good,” said Richardson. “Matt has a lot of loyal clientele and word of mouth has brought in new customers.”
The shop currently offers tattoos only, no piercing. Skidgel can recreate designs, does free-hand work and also black light tattoos, which, as the name suggests, can only be seen under a black light.
According to Richardson, INKredible will also begin producing customized T-shirts in the summer.
INKredible is closed on Mondays, but is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 492-2024. INKredible can also be found on Facebook.
