Hodgdon High School softball team opened the season with games against Shead.
Last Friday at Hodgdon, the Lady Hawks overpowered the Tigers, 36-2, in the second game of their scheduled doubleheader.
Jessi Tracy led the Hodgdon offense with eight RBIs on a home run, double and single. Samantha Palmer collected two doubles and a pair of singles and earned the win on the mound.
In the opening game, Hodgdon won 33-10 behind pitchers Jamie Theriault and Mackenzie York. The Lady Hawks offensively were led by Rachel Harmon, with four hits to drive in five runs. Lacey McQuarrie also hit a homerun, double and two singles for eight RBIs.
