The Easton seniors’ Happy Days Club met on Thursday, April 11, for a potluck dinner with 13 members present and three guests. Guests Jim Brown and Wanda Pather spoke about the produce from the Whole Earth Organic Farm. Another guest, Pat Coffin, was there and she will be joining the club. Welcome to the club, Pat.

Club members present were: Ida Doak, Jean Ames, Marie Hewitt, Arlene Ladner, Betty Brown, Irene DeFonte, Annette Copeland, Lianna Demerchant, Ezalee Smith, Hollis Hull, Barbara Bonville and John and Nina Trask. The meeting was opened by President Nina Trask. There was a salute to the flag and singing “My Country Tis of Thee.” The piano was played by Lianna Demerchant.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 25. We will be traveling by bus to the Elm Tree Diner in Houlton, with a stop to do some shopping in town. The bus driver will be Dellas Adams. Easton seniors are invited to attend and encouraged to bring a friend. Hope to see you all at our meeting.

Chloe Lento, of Easton, can barely keep her head up in this fireman’s helmet. She is the cutest little fireman I have ever seen.

Sympathy

Our sympathy goes out to the family of Jacqueline J. Martin, formerly of Easton. Everyone knew her as “Jackie.” Jackie passed away on April 14. She lived in Easton for many years on the Station Road and always had tons of beautiful Christmas decorations at her home for many years. Jackie lived with her daughter, Kathleen Vaughn, in Falling Waters, W.V., where she passed away. Deepest sympathy goes to Kim, Jackie’s granddaughter, and her family who live in Easton. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.
