City to host Drug Take Back Day on Saturday

    CARIBOU — There will be a National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27 where unused or outdated prescription drugs will be accepted and collected for disposal at the Caribou Police Department, 25 High Street.

    During the National Drug Take Back Day on September 29, 2012, Maine collected 13,980 pounds of drugs. Of that amount, 12 agencies in Aroostook County collected 1,232 pounds. During the National Drug Take Back Day in April of 2012 Maine collected 19,980 pounds.
    As a reminder, Chief Michael Gahagan reminds citizens that the Caribou Police Department collects unused/outdated drugs as a public service year-round.
