These fundraisers have raised money for organizations such as Adopt a Child for Christmas and Cystic Fibrosis. They initiated a school-wide link competition to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, which also helped to raise awareness for the cause.
They also purchased books for the high school to help students taking college classes through our school and donated to the children’s library in the Washburn Elementary School in order to expand the reading abilities of students in the elementary grades.
In the past, the Washburn National Honor Society has raised money to purchase books to help raise awareness for bullying among the elementary-age students.
At the end of the month, they are planning on hosting the annual Aroostook County National Honor Society Spring Convention with a “Hunger Games” theme.
