Oakfield woman charged in meth bust

OAKFIELD, Maine — A 29-year-old Oakfield woman was arrested April 9 for trafficking in methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to Darrell Crandall, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency division commander, Crystal Hitchcock was arrested at a camper trailer on the Thompson Settlement Road in Oakfield. A toddler was also present and the Department of Health and Human Services was notified.

Evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing was seen. MDEA agents, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers secured the camper overnight.
Early Wednesday, April 10, MDEA’s lab team executed a search warrant, seizing pre-cursor drugs, chemicals and other materials used to make methamphetamine. Maine DEP and the Oakfield Fire Department assisted at the scene.
