WASHBURN — A Stockholm man has been charged, following an accident early Sunday morning.
“Around 3 a.m. Sunday, April 7, police were notified of an accident on Route 164 near the snowmobile club. Officer Luke Blackstone, of the Washburn Police Department, found Charles Rossignol, 32, of Stockholm, was operating a Dodge Dakota pickup when he went off the road, striking a guy wire, which resulted in tearing down the top of the utility pole,” said Washburn Police Chief Roy Guidry Jr.
Guidry said Maine Public Service and Washburn’s first responders were contacted and responded.
“Rossignol was alone in the vehicle and was not injured. His vehicle was hauled to Caribou,” said Guidry.
The truck sustained significant damage.
“Rossignol was charged with operating under the influence and given a Presque Isle District Court Date of May 9,” said Guidry.
