Do you think teachers should assign kids homework? Some kids think that they should be able to go home and rest or go outside and get exercise. Others think that homework is important for increasing their ability to learn. However, homework has resulted in students getting higher grades.
Homework helps kids with their study habits. It helps them by letting them review what they have just learned. It also helps them be prepared for tests. Homework is important for kids education. It is important because it helps kids score higher on national tests like NECAP and NWEA.
Duke University proved that more homework is better for students in grades seven through twelve. It is better for them because they are more capable of taking on responsibility than kids in kindergarten and pre-K. Some kids find it harder to ignore distractions than others so it is hard for them to do their homework. Therefore, some kids should have less homework than others. This does not mean though homework should be abandoned altogether.
Younger kids should have less homework because they aren’t capable of taking on as much responsibility as older, more mature kids. Kids in grades one through twelve should have their grade and a zero added to that number. Therefore, twelfth graders would have 120 minutes of homework each night.
Homework is good for kids because it helps them achieve more in school and bring up their grades. All of the research that has been done has proven that homework is good for kid’s education. Therefore, teachers should assign homework.
