What if someone told you it is possible to reduce bullying and improve test scores? Wearing uniforms can do just that plus more. Some people say wearing uniforms limits creativity and self expression. However, wearing uniforms helps schools in so many ways. Schools should wear uniforms because of how well schools have improved over the years just by wearing uniforms.
Wearing uniforms can reduce bullying, snobbery, and peer pressure. Uniforms are cheaper for parents and schools. Wearing uniforms promotes a more studious environment. Uniforms also let students pay more attention to lessons rather than their clothes. Because they don’t need to figure out what to wear, students are able to get to school on time therefore increasing their attendance. Did you know the overall crime rate dropped by 91 percent, schools suspensions dropped by 90 percent, and vandalism dropped by 69 percent? Many cities require uniforms. Some of these cities are New Orleans, Cleveland, Boston, Miami, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Washington D.C., Jacksonville, and Atlanta. Some of these schools score the highest on standardized tests.
Now you see why most schools have uniforms. Uniforms reduce bullying and help students improve academically. This is why school uniforms should be worn in schools.
