A MORNING COMMUTE was delayed by poor road conditions, which resulted in Tabitha Blakney, of Washburn, losing control of her car on the Washburn Road March 20 in Presque Isle. Here, Officer Joey Seeley, PIPD, stops to assist the driver.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, as snow continued to fall from the latest major storm to hit the area. Roads were snow-covered and driving difficult in some areas.
According to the police report, Tabitha Blakney, of Washburn, was traveling east on the Washburn Road and lost control due in part to slippery pavement.
Blakney’s Honda Civic slid off the opposite side of the road and into the ditch. No injuries were reported, nor was the vehicle damaged. Officer Joey Seeley, Presque Isle Police Department, responded to investigate.
Jerry’s Towing was able to pull the car out of the ditch.
