Ellen’s Story

One day when I went to my grandmother’s house I was in the back room and I hear a knocking sound so I thought it was my two little cousins trying to scare me because they love to do that. So I went back to see what it was. It was kind of creepy because my grammy always said this place was haunted and on top of that it was Halloween! Then I heard it again but this time it was right in the corner of my mothers old bedroom. When I looked over there I froze right in place hoping that whatever it was didn’t see me.
It was a ball of immense fog, it covered up the whole corner. It looked like whatever it is was sitting in the rocking chair. My grandmother never like this chair. It was here when she moved in. I have always thought it was beautiful with the flower patterns on the headrest. But now I’m not so crazy about it. When I finally got enough courage to move I took one step near the ball and it was gone in an instant. I just stood there in amazement frozen in my tracks hoping it wouldn’t pop up anywhere. It felt like I had been standing there for hours but really it was more like five minutes.
When I tried to tell my Grammy she just thought I had an overactive imagination. So I wanted to prove her wrong so I went back in with my video camera and my baseball bat of course. At first I didn’t get anything but then there was the mist again but this time it was in the corner on the other side of the room. When I showed my Grammy she still wasn’t completely convinced. But once I took her to the back room she believed me. But there was more paranormal action than before!
Then there was a huge bang from the other room. We looked at each other and ran to see what it was. I couldn’t believe it! The huge chandelier that had been hung on the ceiling for years had fallen! I once again was frozen. When I came back to it was dark in the room and my Grandmother was gone. “I’m late!” I yelled, for the Halloween party. So I went to run out the door and instead of it opening right up it didn’t move an inch. It’s locked from the outside? It couldn’t, it’s only able to be locked from the inside! I couldn’t get out and nothing else can get in.
