To Light or Shadow

I wasn’t just an ordinary person anymore,
Nor a weak Jew who sat around and did nothing for my people.
I was different from all the other Jews.
I was a Jew who destroyed evil, a Jew who threw evil into the dark abyss of hell.
I was a Jew who killed Germans for freedom, and vengeance.
No more to be the person who watched my people become extinct.
But it’s over.
All of this is over. My time is up.
But there’s something else that haunts me, something not in my past,
but my future.
I see it, I see my future, a vision of a shadowy dark place, or a bright light place
while my last breath draws its final gasp of earth, and life.
Did I do the right thing by fighting for freedom for my people?
Fighting for vengeance?
