Photo session to benefit Relay for Life

PRESQUE ISLE — Have you ever wanted to have a professional take your photograph — something suitable for an online profile — but felt the cost was prohibitive? Then perhaps an upcoming fundraiser could be the answer.
Mystic Photo Studios is joining The Aroostook Medical Center in offering Headshots for a Cure.
“I’ve teamed up with the TAMC’s Raise of Hope to provide people with a headshot for Facebook or other online account for just $15. The event will take place at the Katahdin Room at Presque Isle’s Hampton Inn,” said Jason Grass, owner of Mystic Photos Studios.
Grass said the majority of the fee will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life program.
“A portion of it goes for sales tax, because we are producing a finished product and the state says we have to,” he said.
The event is open to the public.
“This isn’t just for cancer survivors; it is for anyone that supports the cause. Attire is totally up to them — casual or as dressy as they want to be,” said Grass.
The event will be held Saturday, March 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. All photos will be provided via e-mail to all attendants. Information on Shoots for a Cure will also be available.
