Fort rec offers vacation activities
Movie matinee
The Fort Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department is offering a field trip to the Caribou Theater today to see a movie at 1:30 p.m.
The bus will depart from the community center at 1 p.m. and return to the community center at approximately 3:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person and includes transportation, movie, popcorn and a soda. Participants must register prior to the date of the trip and be at least 10 years of age to attend on their own or be accompanied by a responsible chaperone.
Swimming or ice skating
A swimming field trip to the indoor pool or a skating trip to the Forum is being offered Thursday, Feb. 21 from 1-3 p.m. The bus will depart from the community center at 12:30 p.m. and return at approximately 3:30 p.m. The cost is $2.50 to swim or free to ice skate (you must provide your own skates or rent from the Forum). Participants must register prior to the date of the trip and be at least 10 years of age to attend on their own or be accompanied by a responsible chaperone.
Himie Towle Memorial Winter Frolic
The annual event, sponsored by Cary Medical Center and the NHSC, will be held at the Nordic Heritage Center on Saturday, March 2 with registration from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $20 per family, $10 for adults, or $5 for youth and includes an event giveaway to the first 75 to register and a free lunch after.
