LAFRANCIS, Clifford Alfred, 90, PRESQUE ISLE, February 12, 2013. Spring interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Clifford Alfred LaFrancis, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle.
    He was born on January 5, 1923, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Alfred and Lucy (Byram) LaFrancois.
    Clifford was employed by Myron Gartley farms and Perry farms in Presque Isle and later as foreman of the Presque Isle Sewer District for more than 20 years. After retiring from full time work, he enjoyed working at Smythe’s IGA in Presque Isle.
    He was an honorary member of the board of the First United Pentecostal Church in Presque Isle.  He loved God, his home, family and friends and taking long walks around town and stopping at Dwight’s Barber Shop to rest.
    Clifford  is survived by daughters, Bonnie Goodwin of Castle Hill, Irene Owens and Elaine Akerson of Caribou and Theresa Woodworth of Presque Isle; sons, Reggie Moran of Muncie, Indiana and Fred LaFrancis of Castle Hill, 12 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, brothers,  Jerome LaFrancois and Albert LaFrancois of Caribou and Roy LaFrancois of Connecticut.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Rena L. (Cray) LaFrancis, a son Gerald R. “Dickie” Moran, Jr., two grandsons, Kenneth & William Goodwin and a greatgreat-grandson, Jonah Hart, two brothers, Romeo and Clarence LaFrancois, and three sisters, Evelyn Warner, Esther Coombs and Yvette Dube.
    The family would like to give special Thanks to caregivers, Kathi Howlett and Nancy Aughinebugh.
    A celebration of Clifford’s life was held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at the First United Pentecostal Church on Wilson Street in Presque Isle with the Reverend Anthony Scott officiating.   Spring Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
