MAILLETT, Bernadette Marie, 87, PRESQUE ISLE, January 30, 2013. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Bernadette Marie Maillett, 87, died January 30, 2013, at the Aroostook Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born August 27, 1925, the daughter of Vital and Martha Martin. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle and a past member of the Daughters of Isabella. She worked for many years as head cook at Presque Isle Nursing Home as well at the voting polls as registrar. Bernadette enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
    She is survived by four sons, James Maillett and his wife, Jan of Bangor, Dan Maillett and his wife, Lynn of Mapleton, Pat Maillett and his wife, Louise of Fryeburg, and Joe Maillett of Presque Isle. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Ruth Martin; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
    She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James E. Maillett; and siblings, Albert Martin, Alphe Martin, Arther Martin, Rene Martin, Germaine LaPierre, and Jeanette Perreault.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, PresqueIsle. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood with Rev. Raymond Morency celebrant.
