KISER, Patricia L., 79, EASTON, at Mars Hill, January 24, 2013. Interment will take place later in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.

    EASTON – Patricia L. KiserSH Patricia Kiser 2 OB 79, wife of the late Derl G. Kiser, passed away Thursday evening, January 24, 2013, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility, after a brief illness. She was born May 18, 1933, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Roy W. and Pearl (McLean) Shaw.
    Patricia attended Presque Isle schools and was married to Derl G. Kiser on July 30, 1955.
    A dedicated homemaker, Patricia greatly enjoyed Sunday get togethers at the Shaw family farm in Presque Isle. Patricia’s greatest joy was her family and she cherished the time spent babysitting her grandchildren. She also loved her church family at the Presque Isle First United Pentecostal Church.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kiser was predeceased by her husband, Derl on August 31, 1985; one grandson, Ryan R. Clark on July 31, 2005; one brother, Roy M. “Pete” Shaw; four sisters, Verna Condon, Esther Roix, Audrey Brown, Joyce Shaw. She is survived by two sons, Wayne L. Kiser of Presque Isle, Terry L. Kiser and his wife, Cynthia of Weaver, N.B.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry D. and Robert P. Clark of Fort Fairfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Patty Shaw of Presque Isle, Merrill and Arlene Shaw of Mars Hill; one sister, Goldena Spencer of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Baker of Anfield, N.B., Nancy, Jeff and Craig Kiser, all of Weaver, N.B., Morgan Kiser of Portland, Whitney Clark of Germany, Brandon Clark of Fort Fairfield; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Chantal Baker, both of Anfield, N.B.; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Sweeney of Clintwood, VA, and Audrey Kennedy and her husband, Allen of Colburn, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
    The Kiser family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of the TAMC Mars Hill Skilled Unit for the exceptional care given to Patricia during her illness.
    Friends called Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. The funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church, 53 Wilson St., Presque Isle, with the Pastor Anthony Scott officiating. Interment will take place later in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the church after the funeral service.
