TARDIE, Evelyn J., 68, MAPLETON, at Bangor, January 19, 2013. Spring interment will be at the St. Mark Cemetery, Sheridan. Arrangements are in the care of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.

    MAPLETON – Evelyn J. Tardie, 68, died unexpectedly January 19, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Sheridan, Feb. 28, 1944, the daughter of Paul and Simone (Caron) Theriault. Evelyn was a graduate of Ashland Community High School and was employed as wood grader for Columbia Forest Products of Presque Isle for many years.
    Evelyn is survived by one son, Gerald Tardie of Portage Lake; one sister, Linda Carney and husband, Vaughn of Ashland; two brothers, Richard Theriault and wife, Iris of Ashland, and Hubert Theriault and wife, Ruth of Meriden, CT; two grandsons, Dennis Tardie of Mapleton, and Matthew Tardie of Ashland; a special niece, Amber Sturgeon of Castle Hill. She will also be dearly missed by her close friend of many years, Norman Burby of Mapleton. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Herman Tardie in 1984; and by close companion of many years, Oliver Carney in 2004.
    A funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 26, with Fr. Raymond Morency officiating. Spring interment will be at the St. Mark Cemetery, Sheridan.
