FINANCE DEPARTMENT HONORED
The Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada (GFOA) recently awarded the city of Presque Isle the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).

The certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Receiving it represents significant accomplishment by a government and its management. Pat Webb, finance director for the city, was recognized and presented this award as representative of her department which is the designated preparer of the award-winning CAFR. Presenting Webb with the award at the Jan. 7 City Council meeting was Deputy City Manager Martin Puckett.
