UMPI to host art reception Feb. 1
PRESQUE ISLE — In conjunction with the Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk on Feb. 1, the University of Maine at Presque Isle will host an Opening Reception for “Excavation,” by Catherine Higgins, from 5-7 p.m. in the Reed Fine Art Gallery.
The exhibition debuts Higgins’ recent body of work to the Maine art community. The exhibit will run through Feb. 21 in the gallery.
The Reed Fine Art Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Sundays and University holidays. This event is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served. FMI, call Heather Sincavage at 768-9442 or e-mail heather.sincavage@umpi.edu.
