Volunteers needed for CA$H coaches

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Women, Work, and Community and the Aroostook “CA$H” Coalition are looking for volunteers to become coaches.
During the 2013 tax season, the two organizations will help low-income taxpayers file free tax returns and access resources for financial asset-building.
CA$H coaches will join trained volunteer income tax preparers to provide tax preparation services on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-8 p.m. from Feb. 2 through April 13 at the United Way offices on the fourth floor of the KeyBank building in downtown Presque Isle.
“Super Saturday” tax prep events will also be held Saturday, March 2 at Nadeau Hall at the University of Maine at Fort Kent and Saturday, March 16 at the Houlton Higher Education Center. Both events will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
“Whether you’re a graduate of Women, Work, and Community’s programs, a community leader, an employee in the business, financial, or non-profit sector, or anyone looking to make a difference in our region,” said Erica Quin-Easter, microenterprise trainer for WWC, “we welcome your volunteer time and talent.”
