OAKFIELD – Joyce Boutilier Hersey, 82, of Oakfield went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 20, 1930 in Oakfield, the daughter of Wendell and Gladys (Parker) Boutilier.
She was married to the love of her life, Hilton Hersey, and they were married for over 50 years. She was most content spending quality time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Joyce spent numerous hours sewing and tailoring for the Maine State Police and is a member of the Oakfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Wilbur and Jill Hersey of Hampden, Linnwood and Athlea Hersey, David and Karla Hersey, and Melanie and Kirby Hardy Sr., all of Oakfield; grandchildren, Stephanie Emery and husband Joe, Kathy Bushey and husband Ryan, Jaime Hersey, Janice Rushton and husband Jerrod, Randi Hardy and husband Kirby, Olivia Shields and husband Jordan, Valerie Byers and husband Richard, Lacey McGary and special friend, Becky Condon, Lauren and William McGary, and Tristen Hardy; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Garrett Sommers, James Hersey and Padmé Hardy, Jayden and Jordyn Ruston, Emily and Jacob Bushey, Cami, Ally, and Beckett Shields, and Laklynn Byers; brothers, Dale and Leonard Boutilier; sisters, Lois Sommers and Donna Hersey of Oakfield, and Janet Harvey of Patten; several neices, nephews and cousins; and special friends Maddie and Sophie. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Hilton; sister, Jean Crandall; brother, Everett Boutilier; and great-grandson, Braydon Andrew Byers.

Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Oakfield with funeral services being held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Sterling Lawrence officiating.
