Echoes of voices from across America

To the editor:

Who are these voices and what are they saying?

They are the voices of the American people from all walks of life expressing their disappointment, frustration and fear concerning the way the politicians of our country are carrying out their responsibilities in representing the American people. They are saying enough is enough.

While the politicians argue and quarrel among themselves and continue to forget the words of the oath they took and words of our Constitution, the American people continue to suffer and the economy of the country continues to decline.

The changes that were promised to take effect the past four years have not materialized and now that the elections are over it appears the leaders of our country are still taking the country down a path to self-destruction.

As I close this letter I am remembering a time in history when the American people said enough is enough. The year was 1776.
