Surrounding communities encouraged to use pool
The department has recently updated the participation fees for the recreation pool, which is located in the Limestone Community School, in an effort to provide the surrounding communities with more options. Limestone and Caswell residents are still able to use the pool for free during recreation pool hours.
Non-residents now have new options to choose from and they are as follows: single pass: day, $2, week, $8; month, $25; couple pass: day, $3; week, $12; month, $35; family, day $5, week, $20; month, $50.
Passes can be purchased Monday through Friday at the Limestone Town Office from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.; at the Limestone Recreation Center from 2:15-5:30 p.m.; and at the recreation pool from 5:45-7:45 p.m. A participation waiver must also be signed prior to using the pool. Cash and checks are accepted methods of payment.
“We’d love to see people from other towns come in and make use of the great facility we have here at the Limestone Community School. Swimming and other physical activities in the pool are great for all ages as they are low impact. It’s the perfect activity during the winter. We’re inviting people to come out of the cold and take a dip in our heated pool,” said Sara Martin, Limestone’s recreation director.
A certified lifeguard is on-duty at all times during recreation pool hours and the hours of the pool are as follows: Monday through Friday, open swim from 5:45-6:45 p.m. and adult lap swim from 6:45 p.m.-7:45 p.m.
