The Perkins Plourde American Legion Auxiliary Unit 136 of Stockholm is hosting a benefit supper and auction for the post’s building fund. The event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m.
The Ladies Auxiliary will be making a dinner consisting of fish chowder and biscuits or chicken stew with homemade rolls as well as beverage and desserts.
Dinner will be followed by a performance of The Maine Event Barbershop Quartet and an auction.
The cost of the meal is $5 per person.
There will also be a cash 50/50 drawing and the bar will be open to members and guests for the evening.
All members of the post and auxiliary are asked to provide at least one auction item per household. Auction items can be left with Chairperson Patti Porter at any time or brought to the post home the evening of the auction.
Anyone wishing to donate auction items is asked to call 896-7917. All proceeds will benefit the Ladies Auxiliary’s ongoing fund-raising efforts to repair the post home in Stockholm.
