HOULTON – Zella I. MacDonald, 100, died Dec. 28, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born June 12, 1912 at Lindsay, NB, Canada, the daughter of Augustus and Beulah (Smith) Wolhaupter.
Zella was a member of the Houlton United Methodist Church. She was employed for many years at Lads & Lassies and then at Edith’s Clothing Store. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Zella is survived by her two sons, Harold MacDonald, Jr. and Ervin MacDonald, both of Houlton; five grandchildren, Lisa McGowan, Lynn Webber, Allison Gillette, Lee Ann Giannuzzi and Stacy Keith; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vida MacDonald and Myrtle LaBelle; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold MacDonald, Sr.
Friends called Saturday from noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home with Rev. Patrice Hardy Goodwin officiating. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
