WESTFIELD – Ernestine Leona (Ricker) Fulton went to her Heavenly Home Sunday, December 30, 2012. She was born December 27, 1932, in Houlton, along with her twin brother, Ernest, to Mary (Stockford) and Ralph Ricker.
She attended Littleton Elementary School and Ricker Classical Academy of Houlton, ME. “Teen” married Rutherford Fulton in November 1951 and moved to Westfield, where they made a home, farmed and raised a family.
Along with her being Rutherford’s right man on the Farm, as she always called it, she drove school bus for SAD#1 Presque Isle, she loved it and loved the kids. She would make a special effort to show the children at Westfield Elementary School a little bit about life on a farm, like how to make butter.
She always dressed up for the different holidays to have fun with the kids and staff because Christmas was her favorite holiday, which she made special for her family.
“Teen” attended Full Gospel Assembly in Mars Hill all her married life and taught Sunday school and was very active in the church. She started a club called the Golden Girls for Senior Women of all denominations, where they would meet and fellowship together.
Her family was the most important thing to her; she loved getting together, which always included good food and lots of laughter.
She is survived by her husband, Rutherford Fulton; two sisters, Gondola “Dolie” Heath and husband, Reverend Chester Heath of Pennsylvania, Ardela “Delie” Bennett and husband, Eldon of Houlton; four children: Rodney and wife, Susan of Westfield, Clinton and wife, Sandra of Mars Hill, Karen Willenbring of Virginia and Randy Sr. and wife, Sue of Mars Hill; grandchildren: Nicole, Holly, Julie, Eric, Chelsie, Randy Jr., Dylan, Calib and Hannah; great-grandchildren: Mark, Liberty, Joshua, Jamison, Amelia, Ethan and Lily; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
