SMITH, Brian “Red”, 63, LUBBOCK, TX & MAPLETON, ME, at Texas, January 1, 2013. His life will be celebrated at his favorite fishing spot in the summer.
LUBBOCK, TX & MAPLETON, ME – Brian “Red” Smith, 63, formerly of Mapleton, beloved husband of Sue Pendexter Smith for 43 years, passed away after a short illness on January 1, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 9, 1949, in Presque Isle, ME, and graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1967. Brian was the son of the late Floyd Smith, and he is survived by his mother, Marion Manter, and stepfather, Jerome Manter.
In addition to his wife, Sue, he is also survived by his children, Sarah Smith, and Todd Smith and his wife, Robin, of Lubbock, TX; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Cheyene, Kassie, Tristen, Shelbi and Morgan; and his three sisters, Adrienne Morang of Windsor, CT, Bonnie Glidden of South China, ME, and Diane Monahan of Presque Isle, ME.
Brian enjoyed fishing and NASCAR and was most happy being with his family.
