Members needed for HHS alumni band

HOULTON — The annual Houlton High School Alumni Band performance will take place Saturday, Jan. 5 during the Houlton girls basketball game against Stearns. The popular tradition typically draws a large contingent of former band members.
“It is time again to dust off that instrument and get ready for a fun time,” said band director Joe Fagnant.
Those interested in performing are encouraged to arrive at 4:45 p.m. on the day of the game. Instruments will be provided to those needing them. A rehearsal will take place on the stage of the auditorium at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the group will prepare for the pregame music and National Anthem. The band will also perform at halftime.
“The band will be conducted by David McGillicuddy and myself,” Fagnant said. “We will pick familiar songs from past years and have music packets ready for you when you arrive. We are looking forward to having you return to HHS.”
