CARIBOU — On Nov. 30 the local American Legion Auxiliaries of Aroostook County held its annual gift shop at the Caribou Veterans Home. This has been a continuous event for many years. Committee chairman Kathy Robinson and her 13 helpers set up tables filled with gifts purchased courtesy of donations from local legions and auxiliaries. Each resident of the home was able to shop without cost to obtain gifts for members of their family. Volunteers were on hand to wrap and label the gifts and also a table was set up to prepare packages that needed to be mailed. The next phase will be to buy gifts for the residents from their wish lists.
