ST. PETER, Walter Jr., 81, PRESQUE ISLE, December 11, 2012. Spring interment will be held at Castle Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

 

American Flag ColorPRESQUE ISLE – Walter St. Peter Jr., 81, passed away peacefully after a three year battle with cancer on December 11, 2012, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on March 28, 1931, in Ashland, the son of Walter and Amanda (Beaulieu) St. Peter.
    Walter was a veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. After his service, he worked for Walkers Dairy in Ashland in 1954. He retired from MPG petroleum sales department in 1996 after 25 years. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.
    He is survived by his wife Joyce (Bagley) St. Peter of Presque Isle; two sons and their wives, Steve and Karen St. Peter of Mapleton, Stuart and Ethel St. Peter of North Bend, Washington; four daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Kim Archer of Mapleton, Dayle and Bill Footer of Gorham, Duska and Brent Boyles of Mapleton, Darcy and Paul Leblanc of Westbrook; two brothers and their wives, Dayton and Jackie St. Peter of Conneticut, and Bob and Jeanne St. Peter of Mapleton; a sister, Jean Pelkey and her husband, Roger of Presque Isle; 11 grandchildren, Kara and her husband, Sean, Travis, Erik, Morgan, Melissa, Ed, Joe, Ellen, Abbie, Thomas and Josie; and three great-grandchildren.
    Walter was predeceased by two brothers, Dana and Floyd St. Peter; a sister, Marion Packard; and a great-grandson, Braeden Bouchard.
    A memorial service was held Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home at 2 p.m., with Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Spring interment will be held at Castle Hill Cemetery.
