UMPHREY, Paul J., 60, WASHBURN, December 11, 2012. Spring interment will be held at Crouseville Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

     WASHBURN – Paul J. Umphrey, 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012, at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1952, in Presque Isle, the son of Jasper (Bud) and Elizabeth (Lavway) Umphrey. 
    He owned and operated Diamond U Transport and enjoyed truck driving for 40 years. Paul enjoyed campfires at Portage Lake, spending time with family and friends.
    He is survived by his wife, Trish Umphrey; twin sons, Marc Umphrey of Chester, VA, Michael and his wife, Jesie Umphrey of Chesterfield, VA; two daughters and their husbands, Shelly and Greg Solomon of Veazie, Christina and Corey Darveau of Bucksport; a brother, Michael Umphrey and his wife, Lynn of Washburn; a sister, Hollie Umphrey and her companion, Vicki Krauthamer of Portage Lake; ten grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Dexter.
    A memorial service was held Sat., Dec. 15, 2012, at the Shriner’s Hall on the Houlton Rd., Presque Isle, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Otto Palmer officiating. Spring interment will be at Crouseville Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Aroostook Cancer Care, 140 Academy St., Presque Isle, ME 04769.
