    PT Louise ShewokisLouise M. Shewokis, 80, was called home to her Lord on November 27, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Houlton on July 21, 1932, the daughter of Bernard J. Schools and Grace M. (Sligar) Schools.
    Louise was a graduate of Hodgdon High School and then went on to Connecticut to work and spend the next 58 years of her life. Louise was a parishioner of Saint Catherine’s Church for over 50 years and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She worked at Reeve’s Market in Windsorville for many years before moving on to Budget Foods in Enfield. She then went to work for Rockbestos Cable Company, retiring after 19 years of service. Louise decided retirement was not for her and joined Hometown Buffet in Manchester for 10 years as a hostess/cashier where she retired again for good in 2009.
    She is survived by her son, John Edward Shewokis and his friend, Doreen, of East Windsor; five brothers and sisters, Donald and Ellen Schools of Colchester CT, Gary and Geraldine Schools of Enfield CT, Stephen and Gwen Schools of York, PA, Mrs. Anna (Schools) Grover and Mrs. Jane (Schools) Labreck, both of Wiscasset, ME; three brothers-in-law, Roland Theriualt and Leslie Bridges, both of Littleton ME and Wilbert Johns of East Hartford CT; a sister-in-law, Jo-Ann Schools of Melrose CT; a very special aunt, Ethel Rooney Schools of Houlton ME.; Mrs. Francis Frazer, a best friend of 60 years; a very special and dear cousin, friend and companion, Patricia McConnell of East Windsor; two special nieces, Karen Theriualt Woodbury, her goddaughter, and Darla Piader Lizotte, whom she raised as a daughter; a goddaughter, Alice Ann; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
    She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Lewis, Gerald, William and Phillip Schools. As well as sisters Theresa Schools Piader, Madelene Schools Bridges and Edith Schools Johns.
    A Christian memorial service will be held at St. Catherine’s Church in Broad Brook, CT on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Catherine’s Church stained glass window fund or a charity of your choice.
