Caribou has much cause to celebrate
By U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe

I cannot congratulate Togus and Cary Medical Center enough on this extraordinary milestone.
The VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Caribou has served our state’s heroic veterans for an outstanding 25 years, and the community certainly has much cause to celebrate given the clinic’s continued growth over the decades.
Indeed, I well-recall attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony as a U.S. Representative in 1987, along with my husband, Jock, who was then Governor of Maine, and Senators George Mitchell and William Cohen. Since then, the Caribou Clinic has served as a beacon of hope for veterans clinics across the country, and I wish everyone continued success for the next 25 years.
