PRESQUE ISLE — November is Native Heritage Month, and to celebrate, UMPI’s Native Voices Club and Native Education Center will be showing a movie on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Wieden Auditorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The film, titled “Crooked Arrow,” is a story centered on a Native American lacrosse team making its way through a prep school league tournament.
After the film, a student of the Native Voices Club will speak on the topic of the film and how it relates to experiences that they have had or how it relates to the reality of today. This event is free and open to the public. FMI, call Myrth Schwartz at 768-9792.
